OUR HISTORY

We are a second-generation, family-run business. Our company was established in 1965 by John E. Sturgis. Upon his retirement in 1987, his son, John K. Sturgis, incorporated the company and has continued to expand it without ever compromising the craftsmanship, integrity, or personal touch that shaped our early years.

As we look toward the future, the Sturgis legacy continues. Beginning in 2026, John’s son, Kevin Sturgis, will start taking on day-to-day leadership, with a full transition planned for 2027. Kevin has grown up in the business and carries the same commitment to quality and customer care that has defined our name for decades.

This next chapter is a continuation—not a change in who we are. Our clients can expect the same trusted workmanship, steady hands, and family values that have guided us for over half a century.

We currently have 10 members on our staff.  A majority have been with the company for many years.  We do a full range of renovations and additions of all sizes and have a full-time cabinetmaker at our shop location.
